Marlow 3rd XI embarked their first season in MBBO 3 with a good win over Aylesbury 2nd XI.
It was a frustrating game from start to finishing for Marlow as they had the majority of the possession throughout the game but could only convert 1 goal. Strong defending from the team meant that Aylesbury only got into the D 3 times throughout the game and outcomes for them were very few and far between. However, Marlow did attack very well with some great passing from the defence to the attack. Marlow managed to get a number of outcomes in the Aylesbury D but couldn't convert in the first half.
The second half start well for Marlow with some great link up play between the midfield and attack and final after 50 minutes of open play Jack Barber played Che Armstrong in for a great finish. Marlow then stepped things up a gear and created a number of excellent opportunities but once again couldn't convert them into goals. The final whistle went and Marlow took the 3 points.
Marlow will be happy with the win and taking the 3 points in their first league game in the new league however they know there are things to work on and look forward to scoring more goals against Amersham and Chalfont on Saturday.
