On Saturday 20th September, Marlow Ladies 1s took on Brighton and Hove Ladies 1s to kick off the season. Throughout the first half of the match it was clear that this was Marlow’s game for the taking, yet the score remained 0-0 at half time. Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, Marlow were able to take the lead with an unsuspecting opening goal from Captain Louise Bull with a hit from the edge of the circle into the bottom corner. Marlow’s domination throughout the second half led to an almost identical 2nd goal from Striker Lesley Hobley, leaving the final score at 2-0. It was a great start to the season with an incredible team performance. The season ahead looks promising!
