Women's Results
Marlow Women’s 1s played Witney at Pound Lane with both teams needing the points, both sitting in the bottom half of the league table. Marlow started well, with numerous chances but were unable to find any results in the attacking circle. A stick tackle in the Marlow defensive circle meant that Witney earned a penalty stroke which they blazed wide. Some fantastic individual creativity from Martha Goodridge put Marlow ahead just before the half time break as she slotted the goal past the Witney keeper.
Witney put more pressure on Marlow in the second half knowing that they needed to score to get any points out of the game. Alys Ramm made numerous crucial saves to keep the home side in the match leaving the score 1-0 at the final whistle. Marlow moved up one place in the league table to 7th.
A first half Olivia Xiao goal was enough to secure 3 points for the Women's 2s away at Oxford University 2s. Both teams struggled to create space with a packed midfield but Marlow's young team more than matched the students for energy and skill. Player of the match performance from Anna Needham in defence and crucial short corner saves from Ruby Duncan ensured the Reds kept another clean sheet and remain in touch with the league's early front runners.

Men's results
The men's first team had another frustrating draw away at Haslemere. The home team were dogged and worked hard. They were very fast through midfield and carried hard into space. Marlow lacked enough connection and guile to put the game away when on top for most of the first half. Marlow had few clear cut chances despite dominating the play and were caught on the counter several times in the second half.
Theo Seymour turned up again with an opportunist goal and Sam North notched another goal from a penalty corner to equalise the score at 2-2. The team is away at Bournemouth next week and will be hoping to return to their early form.
Marlow's 2nds were at home to an experienced and well organised team in Abingdon 1st. Although Marlow had a fair share of possession in midfield Abingdon scored twice from breakaways and had success in converting two penalty corners. Marlow scored twice, both goals from Sam Nicholson with an accurate strike from a penalty corner and the second a well taken chance from a narrow angle to make the final score 4-2 to Abingdon.
